Old School Playground Games Tuesdays

Course Description

Remember the 'old school' days when kids got on their bikes and spent the summer days and afternoons after school with friends at the playground? With schools moving more and more to distance learning and spending increased hours on computer screens, we believe there is a void of socialization and outdoor exercise as a major overall health component for all of our developing children. FarmEd is bringing kids back to the playground with an organized All Sports and Games after school program that will expose children to fresh air and the joy of playing and competing with friends old and new. Kids will engage in a variety of sports and playground games in an environment where instructors teach the rules of the playground, incorporate all of the kids regardless of abilities, and stress the important lessons of sportsmanship and being honest in play. Games include everything from kickball, soccer, flag football, whiffle ball, dodge ball games, capture the flag, and even old school "kick the can!" Boys and girls grades 1st - 6th are welcome and split into age-appropriate groups. The FarmEd staff will create an environment where kids of all skill levels and abilities feel comfortable and included. The spirit of the game and FUN is at the center of everything we do. Simply put, kids have fun and learn by DOING!
