Summer Farm Camp II for Grades 1-6
Course Description
Our signature week-long farm camps are designed to introduce community youth to the learning experiences of working on a family-run, beyond organic gardening and livestock operation. Campers will participate in a variety of the daily activities of a working farm that include, planting, harvesting, weed cultivation, animal feeding, processing produce, and garden and soil management. Our staff will work to provide a safe and fun learning environment with small, age-appropriate groups for a hands on experiences each day of the week. Campers will need garden gloves, shoes that can get dirty, and a brown bag snack for a mid-morning break. 9AM to 12PM February 22 through February 26 Also included will be trail hikes and free creative play time on our athletic playground field. In the event of inclement weather, we will retreat to the shelter of our FarmEd pavilion for culinary demonstrations, arts & crafts, and group games.
